Trader Jake Zoom Update: Full Recap

Here's the full recap of the Zoom update, for those who missed it and as the official record.
Project & regulatory status
- The first phase of our soft launch went very well, a big step for the whole team. It was a deliberately limited rollout within our regulatory pathway: only ~10% of what we've built has been activated so far, and everything else stays offline until the process is fully finalized.
- Predixa's funding is complete. The round has been fully closed; no more funds can be added. All funds are locked and secured while the paperwork is being finalized.
- This also applies to all new upgrades, redesigned markets and the new categories (news, politics, sports): they are queued up and will roll out the moment the process is completed. That's also why it's been a bit quiet lately, expect regular updates again right after.
Regulation: what's actually happening
- MiCA (EU crypto regulation) contains a DeFi exemption, but it only applies to projects that can prove full decentralization: everything running on smart contracts, no central authority. That proof is the hard part, and it's what we've been working on around the clock: hundreds of documents, papers, smart-contract reviews and audits.
- Jake walked through the three regulatory paths for launching a prediction market:
- US route (CFTC/DCM registration): $2 to $5M+ in legal/compliance costs, 1.5 to 2 years, US-only.
- Offshore licensing (Cayman Islands, Gibraltar etc.): 3 to 6 months, access to EU/Asia/LatAm, but restricted in the US and vulnerable as you grow.
- Minimal licensing + full decentralization (our path): no big upfront costs, worldwide access via any wallet (e.g. MetaMask), but the longest road, because decentralization has to be proven to regulators and legal partners. That's the tradeoff we chose deliberately.
- Gibraltar is introducing a bespoke regulatory framework for prediction markets (under the Gambling Act 2025, Prediction Market Regulations 2026, LN.2026/176). Once available, this opens the door to additional licensing for our future products, so upcoming upgrades stay fully compliant.
- Market context: Polymarket is lobbying hard for EU access (expected by end of year), while Kalshi operates centralized. The EU's core question: gambling vs. prediction, one more reason we chose the decentralized route: with MiCA compliance, DeFi-based prediction markets can operate in almost every market worldwide.
- Why now: this work must be finished before year-end, otherwise projects risk being restricted or blocked in the EU/US. We're using the current slow market phase to get everything finalized, audited and proven, so we're ready at full speed when the market turns.
Community & communication
- During the regulatory phase, detailed project information stays confidential: that protects the project, the community and the funds. All official channels are listed on tmx.info: they are the only sources. Please don't get distracted by rumors or fake channels.
- Once the process is finalized, community rooms/chat will open again for open questions and discussions, plus detailed videos and updates on token release, liquidity and new features in the coming days and weeks.
- Bonuses are in the works for everyone who stayed patient through this process.
Market view from the call (BTC, 1W)
- Summer drawdown: from ~$130k down to a low of ~$57k to $58k; recent breakout to ~$77k, currently holding around $81k, with support at $79k.
- Jake's read: the big green candle will likely get one more retest into the $68k to $70k zone, seen as the potential local bottom.
- After that, key resistance sits at $95k to $96k. A break above it targets ~$150k, with $200k to $250k in the next cycle.
- Catalyst being watched: the US CLARITY Act, regulatory clarity as a potential major push for crypto as a mainstream asset class. Ideal window for TMX to return to market with full liquidity and all products: a BTC revisit of the $69k to $70k zone.
All market figures and targets were opinions shared by Jake on the call, not financial advice. Trade responsibly.
